2025 Year in Review

Founder’s Message

2025 was a year of VUCA: volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. It was also an invitation to lead more intentionally and take calculated risks toward transformation.

At Raise for Good, we are entrepreneurs who help our clients lead with agility. As the landscapes shifted, we adapted alongside them. The result was a community of leaders and funders who didn't just survive 2025; they emerged more resilient, more focused, and better positioned to lead into what comes next.

Our team partnered with social impact leaders to make critical strategic decisions that expanded impact, built revenue strategies rooted in sustainability, and strengthened capacity for durable growth operations.

Three themes defined 2025:

INTEGRATION OF STRATEGY + OPERATIONS

The organizations that thrived built infrastructure to match their vision - diversifying revenue, prioritizing impact measurement, and investing in the integration of strategy through operations.

AI + HUMAN JUDGEMENT

Supporting social impact organizations to drive digital transformation and ethical AI readiness. Technology is a critical lever, not a replacement for humans.

UNLOCKING CAPITAL ECOSYSTEM STRENGTH

Transformation will require new capital to be unlocked by individual philanthropists and the stewarding of the generational wealth transfer. Investing in capacity building is treated as infrastructure + critical, not an afterthought, to create lasting impact.

We're excited to partner with you to make intentional integrations a lasting transformation.

Client Highlights

Strategic Transformation:
CODEPATH's Path to $100M+ Scale

DURATION: 10+ months

IMPACT: $20M+ closed revenue, additional $20M+ funding opportunity advanced, organizational model transformed

CHALLENGE: During a critical period of organizational transformation, CodePath needed a strategic partner who could help inform a product-led growth strategy, make decisive choices, and execute at startup velocity.

OUR ROLE: Raise for Good served as organizational strategy advisor and fractional Chief Development Officer — embedding with leadership to diagnose systemic issues, identify strategic opportunities, and accelerate execution.

OUTCOME: $20M+ in closed revenue, a restructured development team, stronger board confidence, efficient operating systems, and strategic clarity for a multi-billion-dollar impact model.

APPROACH: Partnering directly with the CEO, we assessed and restructured the development operation to match CodePath's growth ambitions. Our work combined strategic clarity with hands-on execution:

  • Recruited and built an A-player development team of four high-impact professionals to propel fundraising velocity

  • Architected CodePath's shift from restricted, program-centered funding to a product-led model fueled by growing unrestricted revenue

  • Established AI-integrated systems and processes to improve quality and efficiency across development operations

  • Strengthened cross-functional alignment, board confidence, and key external relationships

This approach of embedding deeply, moving fast, and building systems alongside strategy positioned CodePath's new leadership with a durable foundation for long-term growth.

WHY IT WORKED: Strategic decisions at inflection points require partners who combine clarity, speed, and systems thinking. We don't just advise—we embed, diagnose, build and accelerate.

Raise for Good moves at tech startup speed - diagnosing structural issues across operations, strategy, and people, and delivering significant value from month one. They filled a critical leadership gap as our fractional CDO, rebuilt our development team, strengthened our revenue strategy, and were a key partner in helping us transition to leveraging AI across our operations. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Capacity-Strengthening Programs

In partnership with funders and nonprofit leaders, our capacity-building programs meet organizations where they are and extend funder impact far beyond the grant. From our newly launched Fundraising Masterclass — a three-week accelerated program blending self-paced content, live coaching, and peer learning — to custom cohort-based programs co-designed with funders, we deliver expert coaching, practical strategies, and peer community that strengthen resilience, elevate leadership, and build leaders' confidence to execute in a shifting funding landscape.

As new leaders, we can get caught in the weeds of the work. These programs have given us countless tools that we use on a daily basis as well as connected us with people who have pushed us into organizational clarity and success.

Program Components

Our team worked on the key messages worksheet from the Masterclass on Monday and by the end of the week, they had submitted a fellowship application utilizing it, so the resource was immediately helpful.

Community Highlights

Connection and community are at the heart of our work. Throughout 2025, we gathered with partners and social impact leaders through convenings such as the Pinterest Impact Lab and the Pledge 1% Anniversary, alongside industry events and conferences that deepened collaboration and shared learning.

Our Founder moderated a panel at NOMI NETWORK x AMINO CAPITAL’S THE NINETY-NINE EVENT with Jeremy Lin, Jason Kwon (CSO, OpenAI), and Diana Mao (Founder, Nomi Network), exploring how AI, venture capital, and philanthropy can converge to combat human trafficking.

Our Founder joined a panel on "The Future of Family Enterprises: Navigating Succession & Generational Wealth Transfer" at OPAL GROUP'S FAMILY OFFICE & PRIVATE WEALTH WEST 2025, alongside Dr. Jeremy Lurey, Thomas Handler, Josh Harkinson, and JD Roth.

The Raise for Good team convened 60 leaders from 27 RARE IMPACT FUND grant partners for a two-day workshop on fundraising strategy, strategic planning, and storytelling, strengthening funding approaches and equipping organizations to mobilize resources to scale their impact.

In partnership with PLEDGE 1%, Maria traveled to Sydney for their 10th Anniversary, engaging 100+ CEOs and founders, including leaders from Atlassian, Canva, and Culture Amp, to accelerate corporate philanthropy across Australia.

Community Resources

We provide timely resources at the intersection of nonprofits and funders. From virtual community panels convening leaders around emerging topics, to curated funding and career opportunity roundups, these resources expand access and strengthen the social impact ecosystem.

Thank you to our partners — the funders and leaders who invest in durable transformation.

In 2026, we're expanding our ecosystem with partners who believe strong organizations are the foundation of lasting impact.

We're just getting started. Let's keep building — together.

This year we had the privilege of giving back to our community through two extraordinary organizations, Nomi Network and Empower Work. Their impactful work strongly aligns with our vision, and we invite you to join us in supporting their work to shape a brighter future for all!

Nomi Network combats human trafficking by creating pathways to safe employment, empowering women and girls to break cycles of exploitation in their families and communities.

Empower Work creates healthy, equitable workplaces where people are valued, supported, and empowered in ways that support their economic mobility, emotional well-being, and career success.
