In recent years, social justice and racial equity movements have accelerated the call to action for philanthropists to respond with commitments to give more money to organizations led by people of color and to justice initiatives. It is a necessary step, but to change the systemic cycles, we must radically rethink grant-making and funding processes.


Funders can use power differently — releasing control over organizations and their strategies while using the unique position to reach and support the work in solidarity with community leaders.
