Milestones

Launching the Pinterest Impact Lab

Through our partnership with Pinterest, we launched the Pinterest Impact Lab and hosted our first-ever in-person community coaching day at the Pinterest Headquarters in San Francisco. This event brought together Pinterset executives and employees, along with leaders from across the social impact space, to support Pinterest’s Purpose Partners in honing their impact narrative.

“The Raise for Good team was incredibly thoughtful in curating a space that made us feel seen and valued; I really appreciated their kindness and commitment to making us feel comfortable and supported in the space.”

Dayo Akinyemi

Director of Communications,
Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM)

"Launching Pinterest Impact Lab with Raise for Good in support of our inaugural cohort of leaders has been one of the biggest highlights of my year. Pinterest Impact Lab has equipped our Purpose Partners with not only customized learning opportunities, tools, and resources, but also the needed community and connection to elevate their leadership and drive greater impact. Because Raise for Good’s values align with Pinterest’s approach to creating impact and shared value, they’ve become a natural extension of the Pinterest team."

Driving Transformation at Scale: Year Up Revenue Pilot

We expanded our partnership with Year Up and successfully unified previously siloed revenue teams into a cohesive cross-channel structure. To carry out this work, we piloted a transformative selling model, which drove revenue and accelerated their mission to increase access to livable-wage career pathways for historically excluded talent.

“Our partnership with Raise for Good has enabled us to truly transform our revenue strategy and has empowered us to build momentum and move from vision to action in a relatively short period of time. This journey has not only unified our strategies and efforts but also given us the support needed to align as an executive leadership team and move forward with clarity and conviction. The team is collaborative, supportive and adaptable and the perfect mix of visionary and practical.”

Alumni Sustainability Programming

This year we introduced our inaugural Alumni Sustainability Programming, offering our partners a tailored approach to delivering ongoing support for their returning grantees. We led program pilots with the Kataly Foundation and Zoom Cares, closely collaborating with their grantee partners to create custom programs designed to support their leadership development.

“Part of what makes our work possible at the Kataly Foundation is that we have partners like Raise for Good that work closely with us to deeply understand our philanthropy and the work of our grantees. This collaborative approach allows us to offer tailored capacity-building services to our grantees that effectively aid and supplement our grantmaking and community-driven investments.”

Community

The milestones we've achieved with our partners this year are truly a testament to the strength of our community. In 2023, we significantly expanded our reach: our incredible team, composed of over 70 core and extended team members, had the privilege of working with partners and leaders across 20 US states and 15 countries around the world.

Highlights

The Asian American Foundation Heritage Month Summit

We kicked off our partnership in early May at The Asian American Foundation’s Heritage Month Summit to celebrate their second anniversary and AAPI Heritage month. The gathering brought together over 1,000 leaders around the theme of “Together We Build.”

Raise for Good x lululemon Partnership Launch Event

In June, we had the privilege of convening nearly 100 cross-sector social impact leaders dedicated to accelerating positive change. The gathering served as a vibrant forum, bringing together some of lululemon’s nonprofit partners alongside our expansive network from Los Angeles and beyond. We’re excited to support lululemon’s community-led nonprofit partners worldwide.

We are so grateful for the incredible community that propels Raise for Good forward and we truly wouldn't be the organization we are today without you. Thank you for journeying with us in our shared commitment to create a better world. This year we had the privilege of giving back to our community through two extraordinary organizations, Nomi Network and Kids in the Spotlight. Their impactful work strongly aligns with our vision, and we invite you to join us in supporting their work to shape a brighter future for all!

Nomi Network’s mission is to end human trafficking by creating pathways to safe employment, empowering women and girls to break cycles of slavery in their families and communities.

Kids in the Spotlight helps foster youth heal and grow from trauma through the power of storytelling and filmmaking.
