As a second generation Korean-American, Maria’s life work has been centered on developing education and economic opportunities for women and communities of color to thrive in a global economy. Maria is a strategist, fundraiser, and marketer who has raised nearly $200M through corporations, high net worth individuals, and institutional funders such as Gates Foundation, Google, and Reid Hoffman. Maria also helped build global award winning campaigns like the UNICEF Tap Project and Code.org's Hour of Code.

Prior to joining The Miami Foundation, Jocelyn worked for the international education nonprofit Teach for All for 14 years, where she built and led the organization’s marketing and communications strategic support to 60+ independent organizations located across the globe.
